Information for patients prior to microsurgery
No tests are necessary for laser correction of vision, laser photocoagulation or cross linking!
Before microsurgical intervention, the necessary list of laboratory tests and additional examinations is decided by the anesthesiologist according to the existing concomitant pathologies (please bring an outpatient card, preliminary examinations, epicrisis, discharges)
List of tests required before surgery
Obligatory examination by an anesthesiologist and evaluation of the results no later than 12 hours before surgery.
Self-preparing for surgery at the time of pre-operative consultation for surgical treatment: cataract (phacoemulsification, refractive lens replacement), glaucoma, correction of strabismus, vitreoretinal and other microsurgical operations must have:
- Adult Department:
- Children department
Laboratory and instrumental studies:
- clinical blood analysis;
- blood test for glucose (sugar);
- blood test for RW;
- hepatitis B (HBsAg) and Hepatitis C (HCV IgM);
- clinical urinalysis;
- electrocardiogram (ECG);
- fluorography or X-rays, CT, MRI of the chest organs;
Specialist reports:
- examination by a general practitioner or family physician with an opinion on the presence of concomitant pathology and admission to surgery;
- consultation of ENT (in the presence of pathology);
- consultation of a dentist (in the presence of pathology);
Laboratory and instrumental studies:
- clinical blood test;
- blood test for glucose (sugar);
- clinical urinalysis;
- electrocardiogram (ECG) and ultrasound of the heart (Echo CC);
- fluorography or X-rays, CT, MRI of the chest organs (if pathology is present);
Specialist reports:
- examination by a pediatrician with an opinion on the presence of concomitant pathology and admission to surgery;
- consultation of ENT (in the presence of pathology);
- consultation of a dentist (in the presence of pathology);
Clinical blood and urine tests are valid for 14 days from the time of the study, provided that there was no acute infectious disease during this period. ECG and therapist’s report – 1 month, fluorography or X-ray, CT, MRI of the chest organs – for one year.
